The 2024 Paris Olympic Games are less than a week away and the U.S. men's basketball team is scheduled for its first game in the Olympics on July 28. Team USA's USA Basketball Showcase ahead of the games continued Wednesday with a 105-79 win over Serbia, a team they'll face in Group C in the games.
Next on the USA Basketball Showcase schedule is another Group C foe: South Sudan.

South Sudan is fresh off an 80-72 win over Portugal in an international friendly on Tuesday in Madrid. Their only other matchup of 2024 was an 81-72 loss to Argentina on Monday. Longtime NBA guard Royal Ivey is the team's head coach. Two-time NBA All-Star Luol Deng is the assistant coach and president of the South Sudan Basketball Federation.
Team USA started off its pre-Olympic slate with an 86-72 win over Canada and a 98-92 win over Australia prior to the win over Serbia. Golden State Warriors guard Stephen Curry led the way with 22 points in the latest win - a team-high through these exhibition games so far.
