Narcis Pelach has shared a motivational video he played to his squad before the draw with Millwall that shows "how happy we are to be part of Stoke City".

Stoke have gone into the international break on the back of two wins and a draw in their last three games of a busy schedule, building a run of one defeat in eight games in the Championship.

Pelach admits he has been demanding but he has been impressed and encouraged by the buy-in from players and staff since he joined the club back in September.

He gave an insight into the 'no excuses' principles he has tried to hammer home in the aftermath of the Millwall game, when he was asked about a penalty that should have been awarded to his side. A three-minute film he then uploaded to social media showed he had been trying to drill that message into his players too.

A voiceover includes quotes from people such as Jocko Willink, a former United States Navy officer, saying: "What's stopping you? Are you too tired? Didn't get enough sleep? Don't have enough energy? Don't have enough time? Is that what's stopping you right now? Don't have enough money? Is that the thing? Or is the thing that's stopping you, you?"

Then there's a line from singer Tyrese Gibson, saying: "Excuses sound best to the person that's making them up."

All through the clip, played out with highlights from Stoke's action over the last two months, are phrases such 'No excuses', 'Help your teammates', 'Fight', 'Get up', 'Believe' and: "We have talent, passion, aggression, work rate, desire, communication, togetherness, focus, goals, support, change, new beginnings, Want more? Let's go!"

Pelach, known by his nickname Chicho on Instagram and X, told fans: "Potters, I wanted to show you a video we played before today’s game. It shows what we are working towards, how everyone is connected, how everyone is putting the team before themselves and how happy we are to be part of Stoke City. Tonight, we are disappointed because we could have won, but there are positives to take from it. Thank you for your support."
