Wales change to new white kit against Springboks after World Rugby announcement
Wales men's team will wear a white kit for the first time in 20 years when they play South Africa on Saturday afternoon.
The new alternative jersey was released in the summer, with the Welsh Rugby Union moving to adhere to new World Rugby rules that have been announced.
From next January, Six Nations teams will be mandated to avoid kit clashes that could negatively affect colour blind viewers, while similar rules will be in place for the 2027 World Cup. The clash of red and green in Wales v Ireland and Wales v South Africa matches is the most notable case, with Wales' previous alternate jersey colour of black also clashing with the green kit.

World Rugby say one in 12 males and one in 200 females live with Colour vision deficiency (CVD) to varying degrees and to accommodate them certain colour combinations will not be allowed at the tournament.
A statement read: "Through greater awareness of the challenges faced by those with CVD and taking some simple steps to address these, those with CVD can have a more positive experience when it comes to taking part in or watching rugby.
"With player welfare in mind, kits were also considered not just from the perspective of fans watching on TV or in the stadium but also from the perspective of any colour blind players and match officials," the statement continued.
Wales' new white kit follows the colours of the Welsh flag closely, with green shorts and red detail being combined with the white jersey.
