Warriors battle tough but fall to East Jessamine

Apr. 19—After falling in their past three games, Southwestern was really hoping for a victory when the East Jessamine Jaguars came to town on Thursday evening. Despite hanging on against them for a majority of the contest, it was the Warriors that drew their fourth-straight defeat as they were beat by East Jessamine 6-3.

Pierce Jasper had one RBI for the Warriors, with Jackson Couch, Jonas Gallagher, Jayden Taylor and Cameron Shipp each adding a hit apiece. Jasper pitched the first four innings, allowing two runs on two hits with three walks and six strikeouts. Jayce Gager had the loss on the mound, going the final three innings while allowing four runs on three hits with three walks and two strikeouts. East Jessamine was led by junior Anthony Kidwell with two RBI's and a home run.

Southwestern falls to 4-12 for the season and will next host Clinton County on Saturday at noon.
