The annual UEFA Super Cup, which pits the winner of the UEFA Champions League and the UEFA Europa League against each other, is set to take place on Wednesday at National Stadium in Warsaw.

The contest puts Champions League winner Real Madrid against Europa League winner Atalanta.

This is the eighth time Real Madrid has competed in this event, with five titles in those eight matches. That includes a 2022 title. As for Atalanta, this is the team’s first time playing in the UEFA Super Cup.

Following this game, Real Madrid resumes La Liga play on Aug. 18 against Mallorca. The team is looking to repeat as La Liga champions after dominating last season, scoring 95 points on the year. That was 10 more than second place Barcelona.

Atalanta starts Serie A play on Aug. 19 against Lecce. Last season, Atalanta finished fourth in Serie A behind Inter Milan, AC Milan and Juventus.
