Chelsea, who still have to play Manchester City, Real Madrid and Inter Milan this summer, have been boosted ahead of this game at Mercedes-Benz Stadium by the arrival of Filip Jorgensen, the Danish goalkeeper signing for £20.7million from Villarreal and linking straight up with his new team-mates.

The build-up this week has been dominated by the return to training of Enzo Fernandez, who has issued an apology to his team-mates and offered to make a donation to an anti-discrimination charity after a racism storm that engulfed the Argentina midfielder.

Club America are the reigning champions of Mexico and underway in their domestic season, with a game against Aston Villa also coming up in Chicago at the weekend.
