The 2023 Big East Player of the Year Kendra Wait opened her senior campaign for Creighton by collecting MVP honors at the Bluejay Invitational, while the 2022 Big East Player of the Year Norah Sis was named MVP of the Creighton Classic.
The Bluejays return four starters from last season's 29-5 squad that reached a 12th straight NCAA Tournament and saw the Bluejays win a 10th straight Big East regular season title and its ninth Big East Tournament crown in the past decade.
Last year's national runner-up, Nebraska owns wins over No. 9 Kentucky, and TCU, among others, with its lone loss coming last Tuesday to unranked SMU. Nebraska averages 13.80 kills, 13.85 digs, 2.95 blocks and 1.70 aces per set while hitting .295 as a team.
