How to watch England's historic Test series against Samoa with squads now named

England will host Samoa in a two-match Test series this autumn. It will be the first meeting since their Rugby League World Cup semi-final clash two years ago, with the Pacific Island nation stunning the hosts with a Stephen Crichton golden point drop-goal.

When and where are the Test matches?

The series will be Samoa's first ever tour of England, with the islanders previously turning down the offer of a three-match series. The first Test match is at Wigan's Brick Community Stadium on Sunday 27 October. The second is at Leeds' Headingley ground on Saturday 2 November. Both games kick off at 14:30 GMT.

The Test series will be broadcast by the BBC and by Super League+ overseas.

Who is in the England squad?

England head coach Shaun Wane confirmed his 24-man Test squad on Monday, with NRL contingent Victor Radley, Tom Burgess, Herbie Farnworth, Kai Pearce-Paul, Morgan Smithies, and Dominic Young all included. They join Super League stars Mikey Lewis, Jack Welsby, George Williams, and the like.

Who is in the Samoa squad?

Penrith Panthers four-peat premiership winning half-back Jerome Luai will captain Samoa, whose coach Ben Gardiner has named a star studded squad from the NRL, including Roger Tuivasa-Sheck for the first time. They are missing two big players in Stephen Crichton and Brian To'o, but are still represented well throughout. From Super League, new Hull FC signing John Asiata is included, alongside Ricky Leutele and Keenan Palasia.

When did England last play before the series?

England defeated France mid-season, with Shaun Wane's side running out 40-8 winners in Toulouse. They also defeated Tonga 3-0 in a Test series last autumn.

What does the future look like for England?

England's Men's and Women's teams will tour Australia in 2025, bringing back the famous Ashes series. After the World Cup in 2026, New Zealand and Australia have agreed to tour England in consecutive years in 2027 and 2028.
