On Saturday night, two-time reigning national champion UConn takes to the hardwood as the Huskies take on New Hampshire in an exciting college basketball matchup.

The game will air on FOX Sports 2 at 8:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 9, 2024.

UConn, ranked No. 3 in the country, is coming off a season-opening 92-56 win over Sacred Heart on Wednesday.

Leading the way for UConn in the victory was sharpshooting forward Alex Karaban, who had 20 points, six rebounds and seven assists in the matchup. Fellow forward Liam McNeely was also great in the outing, scoring 18 points and securing 10 boards in the lopsided win for the defending national champs. 

Both Karaban and McNeely will be depended on heavily this season by the Huskies after UConn lost star big man Donovan Clingan and confident bucket-getter Jordan Hawkins from last year’s team to the NBA draft. 

Arguably UConn’s biggest win of the offseason was keeping head coach Dan Hurley, who was receiving heavy interest from the NBA, namely from the Los Angeles Lakers, who were looking for a new head coach this past summer. Luckily for UConn fans, Hurley spurned the Lakers and stayed in Storrs to try and go for an extremely rare threepeat in college basketball. The last team to threepeat in college basketball was UCLA… all the way back in 1973 when the Bruins actually ripped off seven national championships in a row.
