'We were blowing' - Fulham star makes honest admission over Anfield atmosphere after Liverpool draw

Fulham defender Antonee Robinson has admitted he was struggling to contain Mohamed Salah in the 2-2 draw with Liverpool. And that at times it did not feel like the Reds were a man down.

Liverpool eventually battled back twice to earn a point, that despite having been reduced to 10 men early on.

Robinson's battle with Salah was always going to be crucial to the outcome of the game and after a tough start and the red card, the United States international was able to exert himself more as an attacking force.

Speaking after the game to Match of the Day, the Fulham skipper on the day shared his thoughts on the scrap.

"We were on even footing and then we scored and they got a red card," he said. "They took a lot of risks pushing men high and they were rewarded for it, there was space for us on the break but we didn't capitalise.

"They piled the pressure on and were really positive, They brought Jota on. I felt like Salah was getting the better of me in the first half, I was on a booking but I felt more myself in the second half.

"We've been managing to pick up results against top teams, that's the difference from last year. We've got injuries. It's all about getting everyone back and staying consistent."

Fulham took the lead through Andreas Pereira before Cody Gakpo equalised after the break. Then Rodrigo Muniz put the visitors back in front after 76 minutes before Diogo Jota equalised again 10 minutes later.

Both teams then had chances to win the match in the closing stages and Robinson admitted in the same interview that the Reds coped well with the chaotic nature of the contest.

"It was a crazy game to play in as well," he said. "We're no stranger to the atmosphere here, they really push them on and credit to them, it didn't really feel like they had 10 men. At times we won the ball back and we were blowing from defending.

"Before the game if we could have got a draw away at the top of the league, we would've took it."
