Manchester United will be looking to jump up the Premier League table with a big three points later today when Erik ten Hag's side travel to the capital to take on West Ham.

After putting an end to their five-game winless run with a 2-1 victory against Brentford, United dropped points once again in their last outing, drawing 1-1 with Fenerbache in the Europa League as Ten Hag's search for a first European win of the season goes on. Next up United face a trip to east London to take on a struggling West Ham side.

The Irons have won just two of their opening eight games. So, could United make it back-to-back wins in the Premier League? Let's take a look.

West Ham vs Man United score predicted

To complete this simulation, we used EA FC 25 and updated the squads with the latest injuries and suspensions.

We predict that the hosts could line up in a 4-1-4-1 formation, with their starting XI as follows: Areola; Wan-Bissaka, Todibo, Kilman, Emerson; Rodriguez; Bowen, Soucek, Paqueta, Summerville; Antonio.

We predict that United could set up in a 4-3-3 formation, with their line-up as follows: Onana; Mazraoui, De Ligt, Martinez, Dalot; Ugarte, Eriksen, Fernandes; Garnacho, Hojlund, Rashford.

United started slowly as the hosts controlled possession in the early stages and after eight minutes West Ham took the lead. Jarrod Bowen burst past Diogo Dalot before drilling a shot through the legs of Andre Onana. The goal acted as a wake-up call for United though and just before the break they managed to draw level.

A one-two between Bruno Fernandes and Alejandro Garnacho saw the latter break into the West Ham box, and after cutting back onto his left foot, the winger rolled the ball into the path of Rasmus Hojlund who dropped a shoulder to pull away from his marker and fire into the top corner to make it 1-1.

It should have been 2-1 to United just after the hour when Manuel Ugarte's diagonal ball picked out the run of Marcus Rashford, but after rounding the keeper, his shot was weak, allowing Max Kilman to get back and clear off the line. Ten Hag's side were made to pay for their missed chances, with West Ham managing to restore their lead late on.

Some nice footwork saw Lucas Paqueta skip past two United challenges on the right before slipping a pass into the path of substitute Danny Ings. A smart burst of pace saw the striker ease his way past Matthijs de Ligt in the box, and his strike towards the top corner was powerful, though questions had to be asked over Onana who should have done better at his near post.

With only a few minutes remaining, Ten Hag's side threw everything forward as they searched for an equaliser but this allowed the hosts to hit United on the break in added time as Paqueta piled on the misery for Ten Hag's side.
