Why there is no 12:30pm Premier League match today as fixture change made
For the final time in 2024, Premier League sides will go into battle knowing that there is a two-week break from club football around the corner. Matchday 11, set to take place this weekend, will be followed by yet more World Cup qualification and Nations League action.
For most teams it is finely poised. Liverpool lead the way with impressive Arne Slot winning eight of his first ten games, 13 out of 15 in all competitions. They are unsurprisingly followed closely by the inevitability of Manchester City. Arsenal are further adrift, already seven behind.
Nottingham Forest are the surprise high-flyers in November as they find themselves third, ahead of Chelsea and Enzo Maresca by a single point. Aston Villa and Tottenham look set to fight it out for the top four yet again with Brighton, Fulham, and Bournemouth making up the top half.

Newcastle have struggled early doors despite an absence of European football. Manchester United couldn't hold out with Erik ten Hag until the third international break of the season as they appointed Ruben Amorim as his replacement last week.
The relegation battle has a set of predictable names with promoted sides and Everton in the mix. Wolves are one of two yet to win. It leaves much to play for with just over a quarter of the campaign already completed.
However, fans will have to wait a bit longer than usual to get their fix of Premier League viewing this weekend with no 12:30pm game scheduled. Here, football.london explains why.
Premier League kick off times in full
There is a full schedule of game to be played before the international break. Four matches start at 3pm on the afternoon of Saturday, November 9.
Wolves vs Southampton, West Ham vs Everton, Brentford vs Bournemouth and Crystal Palace vs Fulham make up an entirely bottom half related start to proceedings before Manchester City visit Brighton at 5:30pm. Liverpool close out the day welcoming Aston Villa at 8pm.
Sunday includes Manchester United hosting Leicester City at 2pm as Nottingham Forest welcome Newcastle. Tottenham vs Ipswich Town is at the same time. Chelsea and Arsenal face off in the standout fixture of the weekend at 4:30pm on Sunday.
Why is there no early 12:30pm Premier League kick off on Saturday?
The one thing missing from the weekend - other than a Friday Night Football or Monday Night Football - is TNT's early 12:30pm kick off. It has become a staple of most Saturdays now.
However, with both Liverpool and Villa playing in the Champions League on Wednesday, kick off was changed to the next available television slot at 8pm instead. It leaves a delayed start to the Premier League weekend but a later finish.
