Wrexham star Paul Mullin calls Ryan Reynolds a 'c***' as deleted footage emerges
Wrexham's star striker Paul Mullin has fired an X-rated insult at Ryan Reynolds that most wouldn't dare to use against their boss.
The Red Dragons talisman made a surprise cameo in the Deadpool & Wolverine movie as a new character called Welshpool. The film, which stars Reynolds as Deadpool and Hugh Jackman as Wolverine, was a big hit after it was released in July.
Mullin's character appears wearing a costume adorned with the Welsh flag during a scene including lots of other Deadpool variants.
Disclosing Welshpool's true identity during the summer, Reynolds posted a photo online of him and Mullin wearing the suit on set, as he wrote: "You may have noticed one member of the Deadpool Corps was far deadlier than the rest. WELSHPOOL."
However, the actor has now revealed that another expletive-laden sequence which Mullin featured in did not make the final cut.
The 48-year-old released the deleted scene on his social media profiles yesterday, which shows Welshpool and other variants showering insults on Deadpool.
In the previously unseen clip shared with Reynolds' millions of followers, Mullin's character is heard shouting "f*** off, c***" at the film's protagonist in a thick scouse accent, before being shown flicking the Vs in his direction. Reynolds shared the footage, jokingly saying: "This scene was deleted from the film but not my heart."
The snippet, posted in the same week as Deadpool and Wolverine started streaming on Disney Plus, has been viewed more than a million times on Facebook, with many people finding it hilarious.
One Facebook user said: "Whooooah, Super Paul Mullin had a line and it was cut out?". Another said: "Hahahahaha this should have made the cut. We need a Welshpool spin off series."

In August, Mullin's Welshpool costume was put on display inside a glass box at Wrexham's Racecourse Ground for fans to have their pictures taken with.
It was unveiled by the striker, along with the club's co-owners Reynolds and Rob McElhenney, ahead of the opening game of the season.
Taking to Instagram, Reynolds wrote: "Huge thanks to Marvel for not only allowing a new WELSH Deadpool Corps member in the film, but for looking the other way when the suit disappeared from set and was accidentally mounted professionally then inexplicably shipped to The Racecourse Ground in Wrexham with no regard for wrules and wregulations.
"On our visit a couple weeks back, we accidentally unveiled WelshPool in his new home at the stadium. I was as surprised as anyone to see it there."
He added: "Before folks ask, yes, @paulmullin12 has to live inside a harshly lit, airless glass box, but that’s only because he didn’t read his Deadpool & Wolverine contract very well. Particularly the parts I wrote in crayon."
Mullin later celebrated scoring his first goal of the season by putting on a Deadpool mask in homage to the Marvel movie series.
