Zak Lovelace suffers fresh Rangers setback as luckless starlet's injury curse strikes again
Luckless Zak Lovelace has suffered a fresh Rangers injury setback.
The teenage striker, 18, has been plagued by injury issues since joining from Millwall in the summer of 2022. Lovelace was struck down by a serious hamstring injury away to St Mirren in his first-ever start for Gers back in October 2023 and has featured just once for the first-team since then.
The talented forward has been in and around Philippe Clement's squad but has been earning valuable game time for the B team. However, the youngster lasted just 35 minutes last night as he was forced off during the Glasgow Cup win over Clyde.

Lovelace received lengthy medical treatment after going down and was eventually replaced by Archie Stevens, who scored to help fire Gers to a 3-1 victory. But Lovelace's latest injury will be a major concern for Gers.
Head coach Malky Thomson said on Rangers TV: "Obviously Zak Lovelace had started the game and Archie was a wee bit disappointed not to start. He's managed to get starting berths pretty regularly but Zak came in here so he had to come off the bench. He showed a great positive attitude coming off the bench. He came on and really tuned himself into the game and played well.
"Findlay scores again, he's just a player who enjoys playing football. You can see in some of his movements, how he gets on the ball and how attack-minded he is. He's regularly training with the first team and he's obviously picking up bits from them. Worth mentioning too that Paul Nsio had an excellent game as well."
