Video transcript

Hey, everyone.

This is Katie Hoff and Missy Franklin and we are here to recap the final session.

Day nine of this incredible over.

It's over.

It's over.

I'm so happy because I was amazing.

It was amazing.

So first that we have the men's 1500 freestyle Bobby think came in the defending champion from Tokyo and he delivered with a gold medal.

It was absolutely incredible on top of that, a world record, Bobby was the only male from team USA to get an individual gold during this competition.

So that must have been so amazing for team morale for everyone to see and for him to get that gold for the incredible men's team was just so special and the first athlete to go back to back Olympic champion in the men's 1500 since 1996 and 2000 insane.

He deserved it so much.

Next up, we have the men's four by 100 medley relay.

That was Ryan Murphy Nick think Caleb dress and Hunter Armstrong.

Those for all swam lights out, finishing silver for another medal for, they should be so proud like you said, they all swam light out.

It was so fun to watch another medal for our team.

And then finally to wrap up this competition, we had the 400 medley relay for the women.

I cannot imagine a more dynamic than these for.

We had Reagan Smith Lily K. Gretchen Walsh and Tory has and just phenomenal swims by all of them.

One especially call out Gretchen Wal her 100 fly the fastest butterfly relay history.

Absolutely amazing.

They win gold.

They break the world record.

Only four world records were broken this entire competition and two of them were broken tonight as Katie said, we got Bobby think and then again with this medley relay and that, that extra gold did something really special for us.

Yes.

So there's been a lot of talk about who's going to win the gold medal count, who's going to win the overall medal count and team USA did both.

We finished with eight gold medals, 28 total medals because a knows how to finish strong.

Yes, we do.

So thank you guys so much for following along.

We hope you've had as much fun as we have all being here.
