Martinez made his return to action against Newcastle on Wednesday night after six weeks out with injury, coming on to play the final ten minutes, and he replaces Jonny Evans in the line-up.
Ten Hag revealed at his press conference on Thursday that Victor Lindelof and Raphael Varane are both closing in on being available again. Only Varane is on the bench here.
Marcus Rashford returned to the squad in midweek and is again a substitute, along with Rasmus Hojlund.
Luke Shaw remains absent after Ten Hag confirmed a “setback” in his recovery from a muscle injury.
