Robertson, Jota, Thiago - Liverpool injury news and return dates for Wolves

Andy Robertson of Liverpool

Liverpool are busy gearing up for their final Premier League fixture of the season against Wolves.

The Reds take on Wolves at Anfield on Sunday in a game that will also be Jurgen Klopp's final match as Liverpool manager. Klopp announced his departure back in January and is expected to be replaced by Feyenoord boss Arne Slot.

Klopp and Co. go into the fixture on the back of a 3-3 draw with Aston Villa on Monday night. Liverpool are guaranteed to finish in third place in the Premier League table, with Champions League football already secured.

However, Liverpool will be forced to deal with some injury and fitness concerns going into the match against Wolves. The ECHO takes a look at the current Reds injury list and return dates ahead of the season finale.

Andy Robertson

Andy Robertson missed Liverpool's draw with Aston Villa due to a slight fitness issue.

Robertson was not spotted in training in the days leading up to the game and was not part of the matchday squad. Klopp confirmed on Monday night though that there is hope for the left-back to make his return against Wolves this weekend.

“I saw him [Robertson] this morning and he told me he’s ready to train from tomorrow on. That’s the situation,” Klopp told reporters on Monday night.

Expected return date: Wolves (H) - May 19

Diogo Jota

Diogo Jota has been sidelined with an injury he sustained against Fulham on April 21.

He has been in recovery ever since and is yet to make a return to the matchday squad. It's not yet known if Jota will be able to feature against Wolves on Sunday.

Expected return date: Unknown

Thiago Alcantara

Thiago Alcantara has played just five minutes of football for Liverpool this season.

The midfielder has been recovering from a hamstring injury since February, and it's unlikely that he will recover in time to feature against Wolves on Sunday. Thiago's contract is set to expire at the end of the season, meaning he may have already played his final game for the club.

Expected return date: Unknown

Joel Matip

Joel Matip has been recovering from an ACL injury he suffered against Fulham back in December.

The centre-back was ruled out for the remainder of the campaign soon after suffering the injury. Matip's contract is set to expire at the end of the season, and it remains to be seen if he will be offered an extension.

Expected return date: Unknown

Bobby Clark

Bobby Clark announced earlier this month that he would miss the remainder of the season through injury.

The 19-year-old has been dealing with a back injury and will not feature in the season finale against Wolves. Clark has enjoyed his breakthrough season in the Liverpool first team which included him starring at Wembley Stadium in the Carabao Cup final win.

Expected return date: Next season

Ben Doak

Ben Doak has been recovering from a knee injury he sustained in December during an appearance for Liverpool's Under-21s.

The forward has yet to return to team training and is not expected to be involved in the season finale against Wolves.
