Liverpool manager Jürgen Klopp will be the center of attention at Anfield whether he likes it or not on Sunday. The German is leaving and he will exit with an enormous legacy.

Arne Slot is expected to take charge after Klopp and it will be the 45-year-old Dutch coach, alongside the returning Michael Edwards and various other behind-the-scenes appointments, to oversee the new era. Liverpool will be different without its current leader but is well set up to take the next step.

The tributes to Klopp have already begun this season but they will continue throughout Sunday and beyond. And with so many players keen to have their say, there is no shortage of glowing praise which is absolutely deserved — coming from all directions.

Mohamed Salah shares truth of Jürgen Klopp relationship after Liverpool argument

"I turned up at Liverpool and I was insecure. Big time," Adam Lallana told Sky Sports in a video compilation of several former players having their say on their former manager. "Didn’t feel comfortable in the dressing room, on the pitch, in the kit. Straight away he took that away. Straight away. And I’ll never forget that."

Klopp worked with lots of different players who played their best stuff under him, with Lallana being a classic example. His knack of saying the right things and knowing what made people tick was a real gift. And given how honest and emotional he can be, it is no surprise that players were instantly willing to do exactly what he asked.

Lallana ran and ran under Klopp and one of the defining pictures of his Liverpool tenure was the ex-number 20 collapsing into his arms when substituted during the very first match they shared together. That kind of desire and determination is an easy way to get everyone in the crowd onside.

Liverpool.com says: Lallana was a brilliantly talented player but Klopp got a lot more out of him than any other manager that he worked with. If it wasn't for injuries, he would have played an even bigger part under the German at Liverpool. Mohamed Salah, James Milner and many more players also gave similarly high praise.
